Indian Diet Plan To Gain Weight

Gaining weight does not mean that an individual should keep stuffing himself or herself with junk foods like pizzas, burgers and fried items. Once in a while having these stuff is quite okay but having these things on a regular basis can lead to several health issues like heart problems, stroke, etc. Never compromise on your health especially when you are trying to gain weight.

Following are few tips mentioned below to gain weight.

1) INCREASE YOUR CALORIE INTAKE SLOWLY AND NOT TOO QUICKLY:

Making an addition of two hundred and fifty calories daily is considered to be quite normal rather than increasing calories tremendously at once. Always remember to have three big and three small meals per day if you want to gain weight in a healthy way.

2) CHOOSE HEALTHY OPTIONS TO GAIN WEIGHT

If you are having salad, you can sprinkle olive oil which is a good source of fat. You can also include other good sources of fat in your diet like flaxseeds, canola oil, rice bran oil which are rich in omega three as well as omega six fatty acids.

Do not indulge yourself in having too much of deep-fried foodstuff on a regular basis as they contain a lot of trans-fat which can cause severe health issues. For breakfast, you can have some palak parathas with some oil/butter in it or have cheese dosa with sambar and chutney.

You must always gain weight in a healthy manner and not compromise on your health by including good sources of protein in your diet which are high in biological value. For example, dairy products, chicken, fish are rich in biological value proteins which will help to tone your muscles and shape your body. Vegetarians can have milk and milk products, pulses and blue-green algae supplement which is also termed as spirulina. Include nuts like almonds and walnuts in your diet which contain healthy fats. You can even have them in between your meetings or consume them soaked when you get up early in the morning.

4) INCLUDE GOOD SOURCES OF PRE AND POST WORKOUT OPTIONS AS WELL AS DO INCLUDE HEALTHY SNACKING OPTIONS:

Including good pre as well as post-workout options is very essential especially when you are trying to tone your body.

  • You can include some banana or dates before your workout and some whey protein powder/ eggs post your workout which will help you against muscle wear and tear.
  • Some good snack options include multigrain chicken sandwiches with some butter and cheese or multigrain cottage cheese roll.
